Fest details: Saarang is the annual cultural festival of IIT Madras, the biggest of its kind in India. It has been witnessing a footfall of over 50,000 since the last few editions. ISO certified (ISO 9001:2008) and attracting a demographic diversity that few can boast of, Saarang remains an unrivalled platform for showcasing the energy and creativity of the youth and hence the best place to market your clients’ company.
Saarang 2015 is happening in the second week of January and will witness over 50 Events, 20 Workshops, 5 Professional shows and a series of well acclaimed lectures and video conferences. Saarang has been the stage for popular performers like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sonu Niigaam, Kay Kay, Shaan and Zakir Hussain and also for internationally recognized bands like Opeth and Hammerfall. It has also witnessed the likes of Kamal Haasan, Gautham Menon and Arun Shourie. Saarang features a variety of events and competitions spread over five days. It is a cultural extravaganza like none other. Saarang 2015 promises to be bigger and better with the arrival of the internationally recognized “Karnivool” for the rock show and \"Sunidhi Chauhan\" for the popular night.
