Fest details: UTBHAV is the annual technical festival of the Civil Engineering Department of Mar Baselios College Of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. Utbhav over the years have seen students pouring in from all parts of India, thronging to participate in the various events conducted. The events test the skills vital for the civil engineer of today, right from technical aptitude to managerial skills. Utbhav maintains a healthy relationship with corporate sponsors who visit the Fest to spread awareness about the latest industrial developments and trends. Uthbav also hosts talks by eminent professors and researchers in the field, apart from analysis of case studies. A trademark of Utbhav is the teeming crowd. With students coming from all around the country, Utbhav is gaining national popularity with each passing year.
Utbhav is organised annually by the students of the Department of Civil Engineering, and all extra proceeds made from the fete are forwarded to Thanal, a charitable organisation comprising the students of the department, who aim to provide assistance to the downtrodden. The charity aims to use any additional capital to facilitate the construction of houses for the needy
This year, Utbhav is setting new goals, looking at bigger challenges and going onward and upward. The countdown to UTBHAV 2k13 v4.0 has begun!!!
