The 58th DAE Solid State Physics Symposium (DAE-SSPS-2013) will be held at the Thapar University, Patiala during December 17-21, 2013. The scientific deliberations at the symposium will cover a wide range of topics in condensed matter physics, in the form of invited talks, seminars, and contributory papers. In addition, there will be talks by Young Achiever Award nominees and the presentation of the Ph.D. thesis. Accepted contributory papers will be presented as posters and a few will be selected for the oral presentation.
